"Onions" was the first poster created for an Ike Moody exhibition, in Owensboro, Kentucky in 2005. The mixed-media original, (now in a private collection in Lubbock, Texas) features a background of government-issue envelopes (unfolded), a border of Tootsie Roll Pop wrappers, a poster board cut-out of a jazz band, and a crayon image of an inmate. Across the bottom are four postage stamps from the "sky" collection.
Like life itself, the poster is (as the title suggests) layered. Exhibition prints sell for $10, but one is provided free with orders of original art.
